DISASTROUS FIRE.
Four shops were destroyed, and several were damaged by smoke and water in a fire which occurred at the intersection of Lonsdale and Foster streets, Dandenong, early yesterday morning. The buildings destroyed were the property of the one owner.

It spread the whole length from Kingsbury’s bicycle shop and garage in Foster Street, followed by the shop of Miss Robertshaw, turning into Lonsdale Street was the ironmongery establishment of H. R. Edwards (1933) Pty. Ltd. where it was thought the fire started. Followed by Enticott’s garage.

The buildings were all joined and owned by Alexander Kingsbury, who built it with an arcade traversing from foster street through to Lonsdale Street, the shops in the back of the arcade we saved.
